These eligibility requirements are intended to uphold ITAC's academic integrity, professional standards, and ethical responsibilities.
The ITAC SME Program is intended for professionals who possess operational experience in the intelligence field, have a strong academic background, and preferably have previously served as instructors at military academies, intelligence organizations, NATO, or comparable professional education institutions, as we have.
This reflects our belief that intelligence education is most effective when theoretical knowledge is combined with real-world operational experience. For this reason, ITAC SMEs are expected to demonstrate not only subject matter expertise, but also practical insight, analytical thinking, and the ability to deliver professional-level instruction.
In addition, SME candidates must have maintained a professional record consistent with the principles of intelligence ethics, must not have been subject to any final criminal conviction in their own country or any other jurisdiction, and must not have been associated with circumstances that could adversely affect their professional reputation. Furthermore, applicants must not currently serve in any government institution, and a minimum of five years must have elapsed since the conclusion of their last government appointment.
Professionals currently pursuing careers in the private sector are also welcome to apply, provided they meet the program's eligibility requirements.
